I agree with everything you say here, and I appreciate the call to authenticity In how we show up online.

However I think you’re unnecessarily demonizing the concept of branding. In my understanding, a brand is how you show up to your community. Sometimes it can absolutely be false/contrived/selling out, but I believe the best “personal brands” are the ones you are describing here as authentic, focused on delivering meaningful value.
